Marlo's Story
It has been a long ride. I am married and divorced but I have two wonderful children and two beautiful grand children.
After college i went to work in New York. I worked on Wall Street for a number of years. Then I went into trade finance but ended up returning to investment banking. i just enjoy the action.
After my divorce I moved out of New York and had a short career in the UK before returning to the US where I moved to Charlotte, NC. I worked for DLJ (an investment bank). After buying a home and getting settled 1999 happened to the market and I was downsized. Next stop St. Louis, MO. I was there for four years. I was paroled.
I moved to Georgia. I still live in Atlanta but I had a career opportunity in Iowa and I took it. I come home most weekends.
My son just graduated from college and my daughter, she took time out to start a family, ...Expand for more
is on her way to graduation.
Oh, I left out the part that I am a single parent.(my children are in their 20s but they are still my kids). I have a good relationship with their mother and so do they. We are still a family in an unconventional way.
I enjoy travel even though I do quite a bit of it in my job. I enjoy cycling and I still run. After high school I became marathoner. I have run 56 marathons all over the United States and eight countries. When I was in college I ran a 2:37 marathon. Huston Tennaco. Well, that was more than 25 years ago. WOW!
I enjoy theatre and opera. I traveled to London's west end on a brief holiday just to attend the theatre. I was a maestro's table member of the philharmonic. I enjoy baroque music.
I could go on and on.
I think about my high school mates often and wonder where they are and if you all are okay.
