Marno's Story
I have lived a very complicated life, got married at 20, had a daughter at 21 and another at 23 (different husband) separated from 2nd before second daughter, remarried at 30, I had moved back to Ohio from Fla. in 1981. Separated again in 1990. Was a hairstylist from 1978-1988, then sold cars, mostly at Stengers Ford for about 11 years. I was into drugs and alcohol very heavily until 1999, when I almost died from a drug infested staph infection in my blood. Had lots a surgeries over the next 10 years and became totally disabled, after my oldest daughter died from complications of Down Syndrome and a serious heart defect, she was 25. I had been clean and sober 3 1/2 years when she died and I did not relapse. Later the same year (2000), I met a wonderful man and we have been together ever since. I have been married 10 years now and sober 15 (my husband has been sober 20 years). We moved to Florida last Nov. and love it in Sebring. band and is an Administrative Outreach Coordinator for a big cancer research grant she just received, she has also been a professor of Psychology at Columbus University, but is going back for her Doctorate at OU, this fall. Other then hanging out with my husband, taking care of the house and gardens and laying by the pool, life is pretty uneventful. But I like it that way now. I am a Christian and attend Grace Bible Church. I love life and my sisters grandchildren, which are all in Sebring. So I will be the best great aunt ever. My daughter and son-in-law want no children, so I live vicariously through others, but wish I had a grandchild of my own. Most of you I haven't seen since High school so it is a big jump to be talking about grand children, not knowing if you even have children. I will read your profiles and try to catch up. Luckily I have tree yearbooks so if I have a senior moment and can't remember you, I look you up then I remember. God Bless any of you who read this. Marno
