Lived in Girdwood, Alaska and went to West High School, Graduated 1968. Lived in Alaska 30 years, Was at Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Wasilla, Sitka, Ketchikan, Naknek, King Salmon, Brooks Camp Katmai, Girdwood and Alyaska .Haines. Lower 48 states: Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, California, Indiana, Missouri, Hawaii, Texas. Outside USA: Germany. Traveled: Portugal, Spain, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, Liechtenstein, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Israel and Vietnam. 1968 Enlisted in the US Air Force, Training in Texas, Deployed to California, furloughed Haines, Alaska, Deployed to Germany for 3 years, I worked for the United States Air Force Postal and Courier Detachment 300 Frankfurt Germany. I did Courier work in Europe, North Africa, Asia. Handled trips to the Hague NATO, US Embassy's, US Military Attachés, US Counselor Service, Routing Shipments to Military Bases for European Theater Command and Control, Vietnam Paris Peace Talks US Department of State to Frankfurt US Embassy Attaché, as Military Courier Guards. Transferred 1972 to US Air Force Alaska Command, Military Reserve, Non Commission Officer. Non-Active Furlough to King Salmon, Alaska: Discharged 1974. I was living at Naknek, Alaska with my folks and was able to get my first job after the military service. I worked for USAF Corps Of Engineers at King Salmon Air force base, called Red Horse Civil Engineers as a facility maintenance worker, boiler fireman, steam system repair, heating stations, Oil fired Stations, plumbing and electrical motor replacement. I then applied to the US Interior Department, National Park Service for a seasonal Maintenance worker position. I got the job at Katmai National Park Service at Brooks River Camp on Naknek Lake. mp ground, building maintenance, trail repair in the park, fueling power plants, and park vehicles fuel depot. Leaned fire fighting and suppression with Park Service Training Ranger to support National Park Service fire fighting personal. I applied that summer for schooling of higher education with Anchorage Community College and Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska. I was accepted at both, but choose to go to Sheldon Jackson College since I had once lived at Sitka. That fall I attended the Sheldon Jackson College for a degree in Science. During that year at Sitka I meet several people that was classmates during elementary school. One who's husband worked for the Sitka Police Department. The City and Borough Of Sitka Alaska had night classes for Municipal Police Officer Training School. The Sheldon Jackson College gave credit for the classes provided by the police department. Therefor, I started the Police Officers training school with the Sitka Police Department. I was then part of the Sitka Police Officers Reserve unit which supported the police department additional policing needs. I then moved to Anchorage and went to work for the Anchorage Police Department working the Marine Dock Area for cargo ships. I attended the Anchorage Community College for a year, so ending up with an Associate Degree in Science for marine biology, then also an associate Degree in Police Science from the Police Academy at Sitka. I finished up at Pacific University of Washington with my Bachelor degree in Criminology While working at the Mat/ Sue community collage I took a two year course in Plumbing and Heating, Refrigeration Science, ending with a two year certificate of training for that. I spent a good part of the time working for Loomis Security Service in Anchorage at the First National Bank of Anchorage and the Anchorage International Airport as a armed Merchant Police officer.
