Marsha's Story

Life 2 weeks after graduation I moved to Germany, where I married my husband Jim, he was in the Army. Lived there for 2 years and this is where our daughter was born. Moved back to Sacramento, went to Nursing School and this is where our son was born. My husband when back into the Army after 5 years in Sacramento. He retired after 21 years in the Army. We lived in Ascheffenbury, Wiesbaden, and Berlin Germany a total of 11 years in Germany off and on. I lived in Georgia, Missouri, Texas and Utah while in the military. We settled in West Jordan, Utah where we still live. I have been a nurse for almost 34 years working in the Maternal / Child Health field for about 7 years, then intensive care field ( MICU / CCU) for 15 years and present I work at LDS Hospital, Sal...Expand for more
t Lake City, Utah. I am a research nurse working with Dr. James Longs in the Utah Artificial Heart Program. We work with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) for treatment of Heart Failure. Dr. Long has developed a new pump which is in clinical trials in Greece and Canada and we hope to start trials in the US within the next year. My daughter spent 7 years in the Airforce and was in Desert Storm she is married and has 2 children. Our son is presently in the US Army is married and has 3 children. Spent a year in Iraq and is presently in Georgia as a Drill Sgt. Having visited or lived in many different countries I can say without a doubt ,,,,,,,,,,, The UNITE STATES of AMERICA is still the best country in the world ,,,,,,,,,,,, even with all her faults ,,,,, !!!!!!
