Marsha's Story
Hey, looking back in my yr. bk., many comments about my driving proficiency!! Okay, I did drive into a ditch during a dr ed class, in winter, with snow embankments 2 ft hi, & prob 30 degrees. With no coats (all back at the sch garage), we all had to get out of the car, & dig us out. Hey, nothing like first hand experience, right ? Hardly ever drove again until my husband and I lived in NY City, and I was given a used Cadillac (that my father-in-law hated). Hey- learn how to parallel park a "yacht" in a tight space, or never park any where for hrs on end. Out of nec, I got that "boat " parked every time. When my hus. & I moved to San Francisco, those sheer-drop hills were daunting. If you want to drive, and park, figure it out. And be sure to curb your wheels in the right direction ! Well, necessity again. I did learn how to drive, (in heavy rain with flooding, and heavy fog, but we don't have snow and ice.) Yeah - I learned how to drive !!!

weetheart and I married aft. I grad in 1973. I found out that I was good enough in English Lit. to smoke pot, trip on acid, etc, and still graduate Magna Cum Laude !! Hey - it was that era: the worst of times (the Vietnamese War), and the best of times (a musical renaissance, a rebellion against stereotypes for women,, and especially for the equality, and safety, of the African-American population.) Didn't we all go through it , but came out just fine.
Whoa, the update is that my husband and I grew up after a crazy decade during the times. We have one son, now 33, and a lawyer. We are most proud of the wonderful person he turned out to be. We still live in Northern California, and after more than 35 years, and we love it here. My college sweetheart and I just celebrated our 43rd anniversary last summer
I wish my classmates all the happiness in the world. High school is a weird and awkward time for many of us. We have all evolved. God bless,
Marsha
