Marsha's Story
Life
Oh boy, where do I start!
I have two children (now adults). Daughter, Nicole, is 30 and works for IBM in Armonk. She is pregnant and due in Sept with my first grandchild (a boy). Son, Joey, is 23 and lives with me. He is a Field Manager for a new home developer here in Naples, FL where I have lived for 6 years.
I have lived in Boca Raton, FL; Cape Cod, MA; and now back in Naples, FL. If I have to die someplace, it may as well be in the warm climate!
I have had my own Real Estate Office in Carmel, was an RN for a while, was Director of Member Services for a country club in Naples, and am now back in Real Estate.
Currently single. Not interested in talking about my marriages right now (OMG!!!)
Other than that, life is OK.
UPDATE FOR OCTOBER 2007:
I am now back in New York having decided to come up and enjoy my daugter and grandchildren. Nicole is now 33 and she and her husband, John, have given me two beautiful grandchildren, Damien, age 3 and Jasmine, age 21 months. I feel I'm one of the lucky ones to have a family, so what was I doing in FL by myself. I've just switched from going from an air-conditioned house to an air-conditioned car to an air-conditioned store TO going from a heated house to a...Expand for more
heated car to a heated store. It's just a matter of perspective. The, almost, daily kisses and hugs from my grandchildren more than make up for the weather. My son is still in West Palm Beach and maybe, just maybe, someday he'll move back north to be with us again.
New York is absolutely beautiful. The move was just what I needed. It feels so good to be back with those I love and those that love me and it's great to be home, which is how I think of it. When younger I felt, "I'm not going to live and die in Carmel, NY". Well, I may not be in Carmel, but I'm in Dutchess and that's OK, too. It was a good move for me and I feel I'm right where I'm supposed to be.
I changed my highlighted blonde hair back closer to my original color of brown. I was going to let my gray grow in, but my daughter said, "Mom, I don't want you to look old". Well, the hair may look young, but I can't (or won't) do anything about the face. My brother, Wayne, died at 35 years old. He would have loved to grow old, but didn't have a chance. I do have a chance and I'm going to enjoy it and make the most of it.
It's nice to see all the names and think back on all the warm memories of the people here. Thank you all for being a part of my life.
