Martha's Story

I am married to a wonderful man, & have 2 children from my late husband as well as 2 step children from him. In total I have 7 grandchildren-4 from 1 stepdaughter-ranging from 21-7& 1 from the other-age 19 & 2 from my daughter-9 & 6. My son has no children yet. I live in the small rural town of Baxley, in SE GA. I have lived here for 30 yrs. I teach in the next county north of here-Toombs County-home of the Vidalia Onion! A music teacher by choice, I was forced in the middle of last year to leave my positon and start teaching regular ed-due to budget cuts. I am now teaching kindergarten, and I tell you it is quite the challenge! I guess that's enough for now. I am looking forward to getting back in touch with old friends! I'll post pics soon! An update for those I am not in touch with on FB, My son & his wife had a beautiful baby girl on June 27th. That makes 8 now! I still teach kindergarten and bel...Expand for more
ieve me- it hasn't gotten any less challenging! I would love to hear from old friends, band buddies, chorus buddies, church buddies, etc. If you contact me on here, I will get back with you, I promise! On April 18th my wonderful husband and best friend fell on our patio severely injuring his spinal cord,, rendering him a quadriplegic. After two and a half long weeks of not being able to be with him, and communication being very limited because he could not talk because of the trach, my precious husband made the decision to stop receiving aggressive medical care. He couldn't go on like that and on May 5th, he quietly and peacefully went to be with the Lord. My heart is broken in a million pieces, but will mend. It will take my family a very long time to work through this, but the Lord is our strength and comfort, so get through it and move forward we will. Prayers are gratefully accepted and appreciated.
