Martha's Story
When I was younger and many of my family members still call me Angel.
Life
I got married in 1982 and have been married to the same man for 26 years now. We have a son who is 18. He will be attending college and majoring in Fire Science.
We moved from Whittier, California in 1994. We moved to Southern Nevada. We really love living here (except in mid-summer). We share our home with 3 cats and 3 dogs.
I work for a non-profit organization that serves children in the foster care system. I am the Volunteer Coordinator and Manage several prorams. This is the most rewarding job I have ever done.
I play an online game called Runescape. I started playing because my son was so interested so I signed on to see if ...Expand for more
it was a safe game and became hooked. If you play I am Neko Dragon. I also play Pogo games when I have a chance. I am canthpern.
Workplace
When we moved from California I went to work for a non-profit organization as a job developer and advocate for those with disabilities. I now work for a small non-profit that works with children in foster care. I use to think that these children were well taken care of and with their brothers and sisters - not true. 70% of children that enter foster care with a brother or sister are separated. So we are involved in sibling reunification, academic success and we have a program called birthday wishes. I run the programs and volunteer corp - these are such wonderful people.
