Martha's Story
After graduating from H.P., I chose to attend Pepperdine University, in Malibu, CA. However, after a couple of months, I transferred to the L. I started graduate school, at USC, shortly after finishing my BA, and majored in Bilingual/Bicultural Education, and was very close to receiving my teaching credential and masters, but I had been working full time for SoCalGas, for almost 6 years, and decided that teaching wasn't for me. I always dreamed of working as a Spanish/English interpreter/translator, which I did throughout my work history. I remarried in 1990, and my son was born in 1995. I left SoCalGas, after 18 years, to stay home with my son. I live a very happy and peaceful life, with my husband and son.
