Martha's Story
Guess I'll start by saying it looks like I have failed retirement! I did retire from teaching in 2004, high school (including my last 3 years in a magnet technology program), also taught in a magnet middle school focusing on integrated curriculum and technology. I taught Latin and Russian much of the time, English and other subjects as well.
The past 3 years I have been a consultant, specifically a new teacher trainer and coach. It's been the perfect job, as I have been able to set my own days and hours and I've worked with teachers in developing curriculum, which has always been a challenge I've enjoyed.
In addition, I've begun a small technology business, "Mem'ries in Motion" (Bringing movement and motion to special occasion photos) and already have 2 projects underway. When I get my web page posted, I'll be sure to share.

ing, often with friends from high school, and we've been to London, Athens, Madrid, and Italy. This month Sue (Holloway) Sunde and I will be in Paris (France, not Tenn.). When I'm in Covington visiting family, it's great fun to see friends then, too.
Dickie Smith and I married in 1964 and lived in the Pensacola area most of the next 41 years, although we were in New York when he was in the Navy, and we lived in Tallahassee while in grad school at FSU. No kids. Dickie passed away two and a half years ago (pancreatic cancer). He had a long career with the city of Gulf Breeze (where we have lived) as Parks and Recreation Director and they have dedicated a park in his memory.
It's been great to reconnect with school friends - had a wonderful letter from Peggy (Massengill) Shaver, and hope to hear from even more of you, including some of my former students.....
