Martha's Story
Hi Everybody, Ive had a really nice life since high school. I went to NIU and became a special ed teacher. Ive been really happy with my career choice.Currently, I am teaching in Wheeling in a program for children with special needs, or are at risk if they dont get early intervention.During college,I met my husband Mike at Frankensteins- ah those Disco Days were fun! We just celebrated our 30th anniversary. We have 3 sons, Steven, 25, who is finishing up with his Masters degree at DePaul, and will soon be a highschool English teacher. screen/script writer, but is working as a production assistant in LA.David,21 is a senior at the Universityof Iowa.We have lived in BuffaloGrove for the past 23 years. This past Feb.I found out how unbelievably wonderful my husband, sons family, friends, are. During a routine mamogram, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had surgery(a lumpectomy), radiation, and I am feeling great-back to myself. This summer I have been concentrating on eating healthy/loosing weight,exercising(Jazzercise is fun),and relaxing.I am in a book club, and I also enjoy playing mah-jongg.
