Martha's Story
Here I am, middle-aged, working a job I never dreamed I'd do - teaching. Talk about mid-life career changes...!
Changed majors sophomore year from pre-vet to general biology. Didn't have grades, farm experience, or any time working for a vet to qualify me for vet school.

list for med school, ran research labs for 18 years, ran into Hurricane Hugo and budget-driven layoffs.
All that "ran me into" teaching in 1997. Worked as a substitute teacher until 2005. Am now a Special Needs teaching assistant. Am reaping the benefits of my focus on Ethology in college!
