Martha's Story
Life
My 2 daughters are now 33 & 36 & I have 5 grandchildren. The oldest is 16 & lives with his dad & stepmom here in AZ. I don't get to see him as much as I'd like, but he will be getting his drivers license this summer so maybe he & I will be able to connect more. I am raising 2 grabdsons from my youngest daughter Heidi. Zack will be 11 in June & Trey will be 9 in Sept. They have been with me since they were 3 & 1. Now exactly what I had in mind for my retirement years but....they continue to be a source of joy & amazement to Me & my life partner Carol. We will be celebrating our 14 year anniversary in June. I have 2 beautiful granddaughters that live in Vegas with my oldest Heather & her second husband. Kaylee will be 5 in Sept & Paris turned 2 in Feb.
I am selling Real Estate here in AZ & have moved (again) to East Mesa. We are on an acre, again so I can have my horse in the back yard. We also live just 18 miles from Saghuaro Lake & recently bought a 25' 4Winns Cabin Cruiser which we have in a slip at the lake.
I am still clogging with my dance team (11 years now) & we just got back from Long Beach Pride where we performed. We travel to Rodeos, Gay Pride Celeb...Expand for more
rations, & assorted Fund Raisers all over. The boys are both excellent students, so they always get to go too.
I lost my Mother 2 years ago & I came to Boise to be her 24/7 caregiver for the last 8 weeks of her life. It was the fulfillment of a promise I had made to her & my brothers since I was 16 or so. It also turned out to be one of the most rewarding & totally loving experiences of my entire life.
My oldest brother Wilke & his wife live in my parents home at 408 Mobley Dr and my youngest Brother Tom & his wife & 2 boys still live in Boise. My older brother Pat & his wife & 2 girls live in Japan but will be returning to the states for good after they both retire this year, but not to Boise unfortunately. South Carolina I think? anyway who really cares right?
I am still close with my two best friends from the phone co that both still live in Boise so I try to get up to see them every year or so....
I guess I will see you all at the next reunion....let's see will that be in 2009? for our 40 year?? NO we can't be that old can we??
