Martha Dawley:  

It's been a long fun road from NCH to now. I went to college at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla, and during that time spent a year in England, hiked for two weeks on the Appalachian Trail, and followed that with teaching in Japan for a year. A year after that, I moved into a commune (-oh, wow!) in Denver, Colorado, and Colorado has been my home ever since. In Denver, I was a folk guitarist and teacher. I went to graduate school at CSU in Ft. Collins in ESL and met my husband, Carl, who is an environmental scientist. We moved back to Denver after school and soon after I began teaching for Spring International School which I did for about 30 years. I also had a daughter and a son, who are smart and fun adults, but who are currently in the nest again while they complete seminary and college. I have gotten in more international travel by giving teaching seminars and just being a tourist in Asia, Europe, and South America.
