I went to Peachtree HS in Atlanta until 1975. I graduated from Stratford HS in Houston in 1977. I attended The University of Texas and graduated with a B.S.E. degree in Elementary and Special Education. When I was a senior, I met my husband, Bart, while we both attended Tarrytown Baptist Church in Austin. We married at TBC in 1982 and immediately moved to Dallas, where Bart began his 25+ yr career with Sanger Harris/Foleys/Macys. We have lived in Houston for the last 9 years. We have three children. . That Special Ed degree certainly benefitted me! Then we had two girls, the older is now in college, the younger in a Christian HS in Cypress, Tx.
At both Peachtree HS and Stratford HS I was involved with Student Life, a Campus Crusade for Christ ministry to students. In college at UT I continued my involvment with Campus Crusade. I credit this ministry for helping me develop my love for people, my Biblical worldview, my desire to know Christ and help Him be known. I credit Christ for the peace and purpose I have. I am so thankful that, at the age of 14, I asked Christ to be my Lord and Savior. He has made all the difference!!
