Marty's Story
In a nutshell:
Graduated BS Nuclear Engineering form Madison in '77. Spent 25 years at Kewaunee Nuclear starting as Reactor Engr. Married Karen Parkansky (East '78) in '81 and we will celebrate 35 years this month. Two children - Amber and Luke. One grandchild - Emma.
Retired from WPS arter 35+ years. Last position was for a new power plant project in Wausau. Retired in Jan 2013. Karen retired as President of an Indianapolis based assisted living company in March 2015. We sold the home in Wausau, auctioned off most of our stuff...Expand for more
, and moved to Ft. Pierce FL on a Catalina 470 sailboat. We spent last season cruising the Bahamas. In November we depart for the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and as far south toward Grenada as we can get before July of next year. Our mission statement is simple. "Go look at stuff and have fun". So far, so good. For the Summer hurricane season, we have a small trailer on the Peshtigo Cauldron Flowage west of Crivitz. We feel a bit like gypsies, but we will do this as long as health permits and we are still having fun.
