Marvin's Story
Life
I am married to Pam who works as a housewife. We have 7 kids between the two of us (5 boys and 2 girls). As of March of this year (2006) we have one daughter-in-law and in March of 2007 we are expecting our first grandchild. We have 8 animals (5 dogs, 1 cat and 2 birds). These animals belong to the family, because I am not a big fan of animals. We live in Hodgenville, KY which is about 50 miles south of Lousiville and have lived here for the past 8 years. I am now a Hardin County Sheriffs Deputy and have been there sine October 2006. In my spare time I coach little league basketball and softball and have done that for the past 3 years. Since I last updated this Pam is now a nurse and going for RN degree and I have another daughter - in - law. I work in
School
As we all know I graduated in 1983 from Ooltewah. While there I played baseball, basketball and wrestled. I was also one 35 students to help start the JROTC at school. As far as my school experence goes I could not have been at a better school. It is funny to go by there now and see how it has grown over time. I kind of miss the LITTLE school that we all went to.
Workplace
In October 2006 I got back into police work. I currently work for the Hardin County Sheriffs office as a Deputy Sheriff. It is a small department with about 50 employees. We do a lot of paper service, but we also answer calls to. and before that I was employed as a contract armed guard at the US Census Bureau and was there for 4 years. Prior to that I worked for the Chattanooga Police Department and did that for 10 years from 1988 to 1998.
