Mary 's Story
I suppose it is time for another update, so here it is. I continue to be amazed that I am "my mother's age," and that we left the confines of FHS over 34 years ago. Since 1974, my life has taken many twists and turns, bringing me to where I am now. I have been divorced, widowed, and now remarried for going on 14 years. A lot of good and bad has happened throughout those years, and I would not trade a day. My first marriage was not a total failure, as I was blessed with two daughters, Heidi and Holly (ages 33 and 26). Heidi recently gave birth to twin girls, making me a bonified Grandmother. My remarriage also brought three additional blessings into my life, Brady (30), Brett (26), and Melanie (20). two careers throughout the past 30+ years, owning a commercial real estate management company and working in behavioral medicine as a clinical mental health therapist. My most recent business venture was the opening of Raybrook Counseling Group LLC in the Grand Rapids area, where I act as the Owner/Executive Director. My sense of humor has served me well over the years, although most who know me would agree it is of a different brand at times. I look forward to hearing from all or some of you. I hope to see many of you at the 40 year reunion. Sorry to say, but that date will be here before you know it. And, yes, those of us still alive and able to attend the event will be damned near 60 years old. I am saving for a full body lift. My guess is that I might possibly be the type that has either my senior picture or some archived glamour shot posted to my obituary.
