Mary Anne's Story
Wow...it's hard to be believe it's been so many years since I graduated from Garfield. I have 2 grown children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I've lived in Spokane for about 5 years and work as a Medical diagnosis coder/auditor. I enjoy my life, both work and time spent with family and friends.
Some of you may have known my sister, Colleen, and my dad, Mike Madison Sr(was a teacher at Garfield). My dad's nickname was the "Godfather" when he started shaving his head. My dad passed away about 11 years ago and my sister from a brain aneurysm about 10 years ago. Since they were Christians, I am comforted in know...Expand for more
ing I'll see them again someday and that they are in a better place. Colleen was the mother of 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
Many people were blessed by having them in their lives.
I am a cancer survivor(12 years) and it has given me a whole new perspective on life. It's hard to understand why one person survives something like cancer and then someone dies suddenly from a brain aneurysm. But it's not for me to question God's plan. Colleen hated pain and went without feeling any pain. She died the January before 911 and I'm sure was there in Heaven to help usher in the babies/children/and many others.
