Mary's Story
I retired from Federal Civil Service with the Air Force in 2023. I retired in 2003 from being Active Duty US Air Force. My husband and I are now living in Lakeland, Florida. I have a little part time job (6-7 hours a week) that motivates me to get out of the house every day.
I have been married to Doug for 37+ years and I have 3 adult children. Chelsea, Daniel, and Samuel. My husband is also retired from the Air Force. Chelsea is a cast member at Walt Disney World and friends with several characters. Daniel and Sam are both working great jobs. My husband and son Sam play hockey. I have been all over the world with my Air Force career. I've been stationed in England, Iceland, and Germany. And, I've also been to Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria (my favorite), Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Guam, and the Phillipines. In the states, I've been stationed in Texas x 2, Mississippi, South Carolina, South Dakota, Georgia, Hawaii, and Arizona. I think I've been to every state except Alaska, which is on my bucket list.
I have truly loved my career, and the experiences have been exciting and memorable. I'm ready for new ones.
