Mary's Story
This is me: 2008 Master Graduate! It took me 30 years to earn my tassles--and I did it at Chico State!! Yes--it is the party school, but as a Teaching Associate in Academic Writing, I had to behave during the day. By night---that's another story...
I am still having lots of fun in life. Having been a 'teenage mother' --unfortunately one of the "wed" ones--I spent twenty years married (some of you know that tragedy--although it didn't end in a funeral) and raising kids.
I love my three sons, Joel (30), Mike (27) and Jonny (25). They are who matter to me...Expand for more
now. If you check my pictures, that's who you'll see. And my granddaughters, Madilyn, 5 and Marilyn, 2. But what can you know about the significant people in my life by names and numbers?
I escaped the cult of religious fanatics and began my journey through poetry, watercolor painting and music. Who I am today is a new story. I am writing and painting again. That's the story of me.
My life now is a comedy--sometimes of errors---but it began with a wedding and is always rich in the delight of language---music, poetry, art---ways of seeing the world.
