Mary's Story
I live in Spokane, Washington. I have 1 daughter, 42 year old Katie Bradshaw and her only child, my 9 year old grandson, Joseph Bradshaw. Joseph is named for his grandfather, my former husband, Jerry Bradshaw. W divorced over a year ago. Our 50th anniversary would have been in 2027. This past May 6th, 2022 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Had surgery June 5th at Sacred Heart Hospital where Katie works as a Surgery Technician. 2 weeks later the surgeon pronounced me cancer free. I need no chemotherapy. The past 2 1/2 years have been the most painful years. I have ever known. I have a minor heart murmur, had an ultrasound and the cardiologist said I have clean artery’s and the healthy heart of a 20 year old. My faith in God came into full focus. Every day is a gift. iends now. I feel I have been reborn. I get to see my beautiful grandson grow up. My wish for him? Medical School, surgeon. I look forward to seeing everyone. The last one Jerry and I attended was when I was very overweight. I know weigh 133. lbs. I am proud of that. The stress caused me to lose 100 lbs in 2 years without trying. I eat whatever I want now. I look forward to the reunion. I will be coming with my best friend Colleen Bevil. She lives in Denver now. I have a lifelong dedication to Main Coon cat’s . Pure needs. 3 males have passed Teddy Roosevelt, Angus of Clara, Hamish of Fillmore. I now have Xena and Sophie. I am a lifelong Democrat although I have much respect for Republican presidents as well. I have my family tree traced back to 1652. One of my dear grandfathers threw the tea in Boston Harbor. See you all next summer.
