Mary's Story
In Jr High I hung out with Jan, Mary, Evelyn, Michelle, & Pam, Chigger and Sam, and Red haired Terry, oh yeah Cindy Little and Jo and Janet Broom. That is all I remember. Got in trouble when I wouldn't narc on my friends and got expelled for 3 days because of it. Dated Bruce Rogers off an on for 6 yrs. At Bellaire I use to hang up with Renee Khrone and Sparky-Cathy Sparks, Pam Tripp (Olsen) and Angie Moya (Weinman). I believe some called us "Jesus Freaks" Pam is now a bonified Minister and Preacher's wife in Tallahasee, Florida she had 4 children. Angie married a Realtor named Matthew and they have moved all across the NE America and now live in the Nasa area she is still a social butterfly with two lovely children. I was also good friends with Evelyn Chang and Gail. I remember I believe it was our senior year we had snow and school was closed for one day, that was awesome still have pictures of Chris (he drummer) and Zindler brothers in the snow. Have lots of pictures of people, use to take my camera to school all the time. The next day we were back and school and I was throwing a snow ball at someone in the hall and actually hit the Principal's balding head on top with a snowball. Oops, had to dash out the side door was laughing so hard and hoping to not get caught.Seems I recall an announcement after that no snowballs in the hallways. LOL Angie and I would skip in our senior year and run to the beach. Renee and I would skip and run to Columbus area to her Mom's property. I was in choir and loved it till Mrs L caught me cutting her class one day....oy vie! Loved Art class and made easy A's there. I recall a football player named Jim who sat behind me in English who played with my long hair, must have made an impression on me since I married a HS football player later in life. Thanks Jim, I have a wonderful jock named Dave. Got bored with school and dropped out in the last quarter. It was too bad I was allowed to do that, I was so proud of everyone graduating as I watched all my friends graduate (do believe I cried cause I wasn't with you all). I went ahead and got my GED and stayed busy working as well as traveling.
Lived in California for a couple of years, my oldest daughter is a product of that era and crazy time in my life, back to Houston, then to Oregon, then lived for years in Seattle,Washington. Have moved back and forth from Houston, my middle daughter was born in Seattle, our son in Denver, Co. We have worked in ministry for numerous years. We use to work at Country Camp at Burchfield Ministries in Columbus,Tx, worked at Mac Gober's Ministries in Clanton, Alabama. I am on our Worship team at our church and have taught Women's bible study groups. Thank God he settle my wild little self down. We are living in the SE in a nice quiet slightly rural area. Enjoy the peace out here.

lk the beach and find shark teeth and take pictures of the sunset. My Mother's health is beginning to fade so have her living with us most of the time, we are trying to move her totally out of Houston.
I meet my last husband one of times I was living in Houston he is a Minnesota boy who got tired of shoveling snow,(unfortunately since I love snow) we have been married for over 18 years and am happy to say we both love traveling and moving around. Funniest thing my middle child was a cheerleader, dance team and Pep Squad leader when all I ever did was make fun of those girls when I was in high school, maybe I was a closet cheerleader. LOL. My hubby was a total jock in HS (he still is) and that is funny too, I only liked the cool musicians (hippy types) not jocks. Funny how life turns around as you mature. My eldest daughter fought cancer and I came back to Houston and nursed and prayed her through it her father was a Cowsill. We have two lovely grandsons also. She was pregnant with one while she had the Hodgkins Lymphoma and after chemo and radiation (Thank God for MD ANDERSON) she had our second grandson. We are truly blessed those boys and our Carrie are such survivors. I would never have thought I would have children but I love all three and wow is being a Nana the greatest thing. The other New Years our Katie got married on I dream of Jeannie Lane and it was beautiful. We got to take the grandsons to Disney twice during that time and see the wonderful world of Disneyworld through their eyes at 2 and 4. Our Katie says give it up MOM we are not having babies for a few more years so I am now the proud Nana of a puppy! It is one of those little foo foo Yorkie puppies I already have pictures to pull out of my wallet such a proud grandmother I am....Katie is still in college and working too.
My father was my hero. He was the epitome of who God is in my life. He always was there for me, held me when I needed it and gently tried to guide me. He would always help anyone in need and had time for anyone who needed an ear. We laughed alot together, cried together and when I would learn new dance steps from hanging with Angie I would show my Dad the new steps to which he would laugh and show me the original moves those came from. Before he was a Preacher he taught tap dancing (was a shufler as he called it) and also had his own band and radio show up in Waco (in the early 30's) for the love lorn (he was a crooner). My dad was in the first Gospel Quartet (the SkyPilots) to ever sing at a world's fair, they sang at the San Francisco world's fair. He was a terrific pranster in college as well as in our family. He enjoyed telling corny jokes every night at the dinner table, I miss those silly jokes and stories. He passed away in 1982. My Father taught me to love all music and to harmonize with voices. Still love to listen to the old singers.
