Mary's Story
I have been married to Victor Slade for twenty-nine years and we are the parents of three children- now grown-up. Sadly we lost our son, Matthew in July of 2005. He was born with congential heart disease and other birth defects. We feel like God chose us to be the parents of one of his special children. It wasn't always easy but we always loved Matt in a special way. He was a joy to us. Our daughter, Eileen graduated from the University of NC at Greensboro with a degree in English Education. ed to pay off her obligation to Wilson County because she had a full four year and is now thinking about making plans to get a position in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. Victor works in that area as a computer support person. Martha, our youngest is still in college majoring in Recreation Therapy. She is in Western NC at Western Carolina University. She has about a year left of school before she will be doing an internship. She says that UNC-Chapel Hill offers an internship program.If you want more information on my life e-mail me.
