Mary's Story

Hi All, Well where do i start? How about where i am today in this life.... If i think about where i came from and where i am today, it's a miracle that i'm just still alive or healthy. I have based my life around being healthy both body and mind. It's always a work in progress which i am very proud of. I have been able to keep my body in tact and healthy by being a runner pretty much all my life. Running has been a big part of my life and hopefully for ever will be. I have lots of time to think and to reflect when you are running almost 60miles a wk as you have to think of something else besides the pain you're in...LOL. As far as my healthy mind, well, nothing like life experiences to get you either in the Napa insane unit or to be a survivor and to fight for your right in this world. And that's just what i have done. I'm one big survivor and goal driven person. If you haven't read the book "The Four Agreements" .... Well, i highly suggest it as it WILL and SHOULD change your life. I try to live by those four simple rules and it works for me. Here are the four agreements that the books talks about. 1. Always be impecable with your word 2. Don't take anything personal 3. Don't assume anything 4. Be the best you can be... My Fav! I am the happiest i've ever been in my life because it took me 50yrs to figure what makes me tick. Whew!! Finally... Now just keep it going Mary! I guess i consider myself one of the lucky ones because some people NEVER figure themselves out. I have went from having everything to nothing and now keeping life as simple as possible and it's a great reli...Expand for more
ef for me. I've always have been a very creative artistic person and I thank my father for those qualites. On top of my wonderful day job i have three other professions. One is my photography. My greatest passion that i found when i turned 30 exactly.. The other profession is my jewelry making business which i love so much and have jewelry shows every qtr. Thirdly is my Native american indian basket weaving profession. I'm still an "Elder" in training you can say. Love that i am part native american and i embrace this culture dearly. It's something very special to have this culture in my life which helps me with everything that is wonderufl in my life. I am not a mom but i sure enjoy my brothers and sisters children when i can. So this is where i get all of the freedom to do all of these wonderful things i love to do. Just incase you all were wondering how the hell i have the time to do these things. Haha! I did have a fourth profession for the last 9yrs and that was being a snow ski instructor at Kirkwood. But alas, I just want to ski and have fun and no more teaching the newbies... ARGH!! As far as my personality... i try to be a nice person in general and treat people with respect as i would like to be treated. Of course we all know that we occasionally run into jerks in life so i prefer not to deal with those types of people and move on. I am a fair person and like to laugh and enjoy humor. I have a great love and respect for my family and friends that i have in my life. I enjoy long term relationships and try not to burn any bridges. With that all said.... keep in touch! Mary
