Mary's Story
I always wanted to be a Art Teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Im now married with 2 sons, grandmother of 3 and 1/2 grandchildren.
Love to knit beautiful sweaters, go to broadway shows, watch movies, stroll threw Time Square (love time square) or take a stroll through Central Park,
The wildest thing I did in school, was start the trend in jr. high school at Emerson, with girls wearing boys tennis shoes, I was a real tom boy back in jr. high, the trend caught on big time. lol
My inspirations, come from some of my favorite books, The Bible, MalcomX, Martin L. King, all the great Civil Right leaders of days gone bye.
I moved out of Flint, Mi. in 1989 and havent live there in 23 years, Im Now in the City so nice, they named it twice, I wanted to be a part of it NEW YORK, New York, I wanted to wake up in the city that never sleeps....lol. Also lived in Boston, Florida, Iowa, (all 3 of those places were nitemares, Iowa being the worst)
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Debar Cabine, because she was my jr. high best friend, in the world. She was the sweetest, kind hearted , compassion, thoughtful, giving person, a girl could ever have for a best friend, back in those day, I lost track of her, have'nt seen her since the ten year class reunion, that was three decades ago (30 yrs.) miss you debra, your old friend, Mary Gale, from way back in the day.
Im not a sports fan, I love most of the reality tv shows, Jersey shore (really stupid, but g...Expand for more
ood) celebrity rehab, think I spell that wrong, oh well...all the court t.v. shows, wendy williams show, favorite tv show, The Soprano's love Tony Sporano's, Sex and the City, all off the air, The Wire, love it. Favorite movies, The Game, starring Michael Douglas, Wall St. Mike Douglas, Too many to mention, I over dose on Movies , love em. Still love to knit sweater, just not as much. Mrs. jone the 7th grade teacher at Emerson Jr. High taught me how to knit my first sweater..
I would love to see Mr. Crawford, (he was so handsome, taught us sex education, he was so embarrassed) . I'd like to see Mrs. Jone, she was a very nice kind sweet little tiny teacher. If I got one do over again in my life. I would go back 7 years ago and spend everyday with my father, until his death last year 2011 on my birthday, I miss him so much.
In 10 years, I hope to be in forbes 400 riches people magazine. I'm going to get there by dreaming....lol.
My first job was at St. Joseph hospital, where I got paid $1.25 to $1.50 per hour. What I remember most about it is the evil nuns/bosses.
A childhood memory of mine, I remember walking to school, with my stuck up sister and some of her friends and mine, Brenda Nichols, Gloria Bush, Debra Altimer, and someone had broken into a little store and drop all the change/coins on the ground, running from the break-in, at the store, and we found it, we started screaming so lould and picking it up and the cops inside the store, heard us and made us give it all back, they said it was the money from the break-in bummer......
