Mary's Story
After High School I moved to Fridley and worked in a Daycare in Anoka then I went back to School at the U of M and moved to Minneapolis on 16th and Chicago it truly was an experience. I met my Husband on a blind date but I had seen a picture of him prior to the date. We dated for 4 months and got married. We lived in Coon Rapids for one year in the Garden Oaks Apt. then Moved to Isanti. We lived there until 1987 We had 4 children but One died. We built a house in Oak Grove and our three Kids went to St. Francis School. I worked at Residential Services in Cambridge then Camilia Rose Group Home then Opportunity Services in Coon Rapids and then went to work for Coon Rapids High school ...Expand for more
for 10 years until this year when my husband Brad Retired and we now are on a Thoroughbred Farm in southern Florida. our youngest son is staying in our house MN while we decide if we want to make Florida permanent. Our oldest Son Luke is Married and in the Army Stationed in Hawaii and has Three kids Our Daughter Amanda and her family are the ones that own the Farm here in Florida. and she has Two children our youngest is not Married yet but very close and is going for his CPA and suffering the cold of MN but he does not mind. Brad says that Retirement is harder then Construction. I get to watch my Grand kids because there are no jobs in Schools here. The economy is rough everywhere.
