Mary's Story

Life I am now living in San Diego, CA and has been since graduation. I have 1 daughter who is 24 years old & a college graduate. I am currently working for the San Diego Sheriff Department. My friends were Gloria Miller, Diane and Lena Harris, Clara Parrish, Patricia Hudson, Willie Turner, Rooster Wray, Edna Hall, Rosemary Walls, Ora Woods, Ruby Boyce, Melvin Dobbs, Berniece Ross, etc. I would love to here from any of my old class mates. Love to Hear from all who remember me! I attended Phelix in elementary, Marion Middle in Jr. High and Marion Sr. School My biggest crush was Andrew Bass, he and his brother Gene would always corner me at my locker. The teacher who most inspired me was Ms. Kendricks in elementary school. If I could do it all over again? probably with better times. My funniest memory was when one teacher told us to clear our desk and Leon Paige raised his hand and said Clara Parrish hadn't cleared her desk.(she had big boobs). The craziest time were dancing in Mr. Dowdy and Coach Collins class with Gloria Miller, Lena Harris, Willie Turner and Rooster Wray. The happiest times was just being with friends. I always wanted to be a dancer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I just simple crank up the gospel music! If I'm going to ...Expand for more
work somewhere, I need to have god, gospel music, and focused to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My inspiration comes from my best friend, Gloria Miller, Ethel Commer and God would keeps me focused. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Clara Parrish, because she was my childhood best friend. They could never endure the childhood we had! If I won $100 million, I'd give 1 of it to God, then spend the rest on my sisters, A home, daughter and Travel. My current age is 51. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be so old. I was so completely clueless. My best friend would tell you I'm so nice, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as outspoken and gusty. Empoyee of the year, quarter, highest goal placements, etc In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by staying employed with the county. Gloria Miller. was allot like me. My first job was at a farm, where I got paid 6 dollar a day to chopping cotton. What I remember most about it was hard work and fainting from the heat. Mr. Oliver Hardy, the bus driver buying me shoes and sockes in the third grade. because mine was always ragedy, Listening to Gospel Music and venting to friends! Yes, GOD! Showing love and affection is very important to who you and and who you become Ora Wood, We met in the second grade. She was quiet and always alone or with her sister. We just liked to sit in the shade and talk.
