Mary's Story
Life
After highschool I attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara for two years and then finally graduated from Sonoma State Univ in 1989 with a degree in Physical Education. I went to live in the Dominican Republic in 1991 as a missionary. I met and married Mesa Taveras there in 1994. (Will celebrate our eighth wedding anniversary in Dec 2002) We lived there until 1998 when we moved to Ecuador with the same mission (Medical Ministry Int'l) and now we are living in McAllen, TX since Aug 2001...Expand for more
. We had an outdoor garden wedding at a hospital in the Dominican Republic! (We met at one hospital and married at another..!) We have two little boys, Marcos (6) and William (4). We all speak Spanish and English and we travel a lot. I have many fond memories of highschool but my post-college days have given me the most joy. Why? Because God has shown me what true joy is. Mesa and I love each other very much and only God can fill us with such love for one another. Hope to hear from ya!
