Mary's Story

This past Independence Day Weekend, I lost not only a brother but a very good friend...... JOSEPH M. KOWALIK entered into this world November 11th, 1961 and went back home with the Lord July 3rd, 2008. Joey had been very active in Church, Held many Awards from the City of Cheektowaga, as a good Neighbor. A Veteran who served in the United States Navy, went on to further work at the Veterans Building and Hospital, before becoming very ill. Joey was a devoted Son of Joseph M. Kowalik Sr. Spartanburg South Carolina, A loving husband to Chris (NEE Ryan), and a loving father of Amanda Kowalik and Daniel Carter. He is survived by James H. Also predeceased by a sister Phyllis (Nee Kowalik) O'Connor(Douglas,also, predeceased. He is survived by many Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, and An Aunt, Mrs. Rita (late Stanley) Kowalik of West Falls, New York. Flowers were declined but any donation can be made to the Diabetic Foundation, or the American Heart Association, in Joey's name to help others.
