Mary's Story
Well here we all are thinking of what the heck to say about ourselves. After 35 years. After school ended I married in 1975 had a son Bill in 1977 then divorced in 1981. Moved into an apartment next to King Soopers across from Littleton High School with my son. Met Scott there and we married in 1982. I was working for Diners Club in the tech center at that time. In 1983 we had a Daughter Molly. When Molly went into kindergarten I went to work for Goddard Middle School in the, yes, I know hard to believe, in the Cafateria. This lasted for 10 years. I know... howww looong??? Then worked at a photo lab and then back to Citi. My husband meanwhile had started out as a draftsman with a firm in Denver. Then became a fireman. He still remains there. As for me I was laid off in Nov. 2007. In Jan of 2008 we seperated and remain so now. Not sure what to say. Things just seemed to change when the children were moved out and can't seem to find the right way to get it back. One of us is willing to talk the other is not able to due to being raised to be "Seen and not heard" which is really sad at our age to still believe that. I don't blame him fo...Expand for more
r thinking this way but to not want to get the help we so need. The kids are doing great. We have a grandaughter Marijayne she is 5, they live in Florida for the moment. They both don't really like Florida but want to make it work somewhere other than a place they can fall so easaly on us to help them out. So that is great. Molly and Ismael are in Aurora and are doing good too. Bill went to Culenary Arts in Oregon and is trying to find that "Perfect Job" his wife Misty is working at a shop her Dad owns selling Country type of stuff. She is a great daughter in-law. Molly graduated with a BA in Psychology. And yes the whole family plans on being in on her Thesis when she goes for her Dr. She is currently working for an agency that handles mentaly diabled children in Host Homes. She so enjoys it. Her husband is an auto body painter. Does well and is very enjoyable. What a catch.
So for the past 20 or so months I have been catching up on the Household stuff. Cleaning out junk, organizing and trying to keep busy to keep my mind off the things that bring me down.
So there you have it. My story in a few lines of the last 35 years.
