Mary's Story
Life
After leaving Our Lady of Lourdes grade school, I attended Mercy High, followed by four years at Washington U. getting degrees in geology and archeology. After graduation, I spent a few years working for the geology department at Wash. U., as well as working as a park ranger at Greensfelder Park. The Rocky Mountains beckoned, and I moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1981,working over the years as a park ranger, education specialist, graveyard ranger, cemetery preservation project manager, and historic cemetery preservation consultant. r to enjoy the changing aspen and hear the elk bugle!) Mike and I have enjoyed lots of traveling over the years, and love to hike, snorkel, snowshoe, and ski. I recently had a book published on Boulder's local pioneer graveyard that I wrote with several other women entitled, "If These Stones Could Talk: Tales from Columbia Cemetery" (available on Amazon, and all proceeds go back into the cemetery conservation efforts). I'm a certified graphologist (no one writes letters to me anymore!) and have far too many interests to do everything I want to do in just one lifetime. Mike and I absolutely love living in Boulder, but I do get back to St. Louis fairly regularly. I'd love to hear from any alumni!
