More about Mary:"The choices you make are your life. I have made choices that have resulted in a a wonderful life. I have also had wonderful luck of the draw.
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin....a first generation American. My family moved to Venice...Expand for more
, FL in the summer of 1960. Lived on Alhambra Drive for a while and then moved to Pensacola Road across from Blalock Park. My mother attended Saint Marks Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir. My dad, brothers and I attended Epiphany Catholic Church. I graduated from 8th grade at Epiphany Catholic School. Many good and "different" Catholic memories. My dad owned the Italian Villa Restaurant. I loved Venice but left upon high school graduation for Saint Louis, MO. I loved the city but not soooooo much the Catholic all-girls College (Fontbonne). Took off for Colorado. Greeley, CO where James Meeker stopped after Horace Greeley told him to, "Head west young man". I attended and graduated from the Univ. of Northern Colorado. Many wonderful memories and friends. Married my forever sweetheart in 1977 and headed to Pensacola, FL to teach hearing impaired children. Landed at W. Pensacola Elementary with a class of children for whom hearing impairment was the least of their challenges.
Taught in the Escambia County schools for eight years. During that time, attended the U of W FL and received a MPA.
Lucky enough to get a job as a Planner I at the West FL Regional Planning Council in the Summer of 1986. I'm still there - Director of Transportation Planning.
I married David Robinson, the love of my life in August of 1977. Many of my Facebook friends were there. All these years later we are still living the dream. Our son, Zach, is our pride and joy. A really fine, young man. My family brings me joy and contentment.
My life is good.".
