Mary's Story

Life Married Rich Slocum (from Cadillac) in 1994. I have 2 children. A son, Jonathon, who is 20, graduated from high school and is now in the United States Coast Guard. My daughter Mercedes is 13 and now in the 8th grade. She enjoys playing volleyball, basketball and softball. I am an Accounting Manager at Parker Systems Inc. and love my job. n the Coast Guard and we have lived in Minnesota, Alaska, and now North Carolina over the last 14 years. We have lived in North Carolina now for 8 years, 4 in Newport and 4 in Currituck. We will be here at least 3 more years before we transfer again. We love the weather in NC. It is nice to go home for visits. I miss the trees and fresh water. Not a fan of the ocean.
