Mary's Story
Life
Wow, a lot has happened since High School, that's for sure. Well I lived in Wisconsin for 30 years,(worked at City Hall for 8 years), moved to Florida. Spent time in GA working at IKON Office Solutions, and then a boss I use to work for in GA moved to Florida and offered the 12 months of summner speech and I moved back to Florida to work with him once again.
I'm an Graphic Artist and finshed my classes at Sanford & Brown in the medical field -- Graduated January 23, 2009 as the Valedictorian.
Update: Now teaching at Sanford/Brown since July 27th 2009 and love it.
Finally finished Medical Transcription on line course as well.
Married, and I have 2 cats, Precious and Handsome. No children of my own, but 2 wonderful stepdaughters, Byanca and Andressa. Raised Byanca since she was 1 year old and she turned out to be a wonderful young lady with 2 great kids (Thank God). Andressa is my stepdaughter from my 2nd marriage (she is 19 soon to be 20)...
When I'm not working, I'm swimming, traveling, kick-boxing or dancing. Yes...I'm nuts, but it's so much fun.
I always wanted to be a Dancer when I grew up. Maybe in my next life.
I kick-box twice a week and absolutely love it, wished I had done this years ago, that way when I walk to my car after class, I wouldn't have to feel the aches and pains. :) WHat a great stress reliever not to mention great exercise.
Pretty busy....but I figured out that seems to be my make-up, I can't seem to sit still.
Peace!
I always wanted to be a value to others when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a given idea. As it turns out, they were there to support me and believed in me..
I blow off steam by laughter..and my kickboxing classes.
What's the wildest thing I ever did in school - skipping out of "French" class and working on the stage crew. Thankfully Mr. Murray liked me.
Do I have a hero? Mom.
The one person from ...Expand for more
the past who I most like to ssee again is.... gosh, it would be more than one person. Mary Buese for sure... Russell Smith, Tyke S., Jill Krueger, Darlene Konicki, gosh there is a huge list..... This isn't a fair question.
Let's see Reality shows - America's Top Model, Hell's Kitchen, and I love Two 1/2 Men, and Seinfeld at 11:00 p.m. each night. When I home from teaching, I have about 10 minutes to relax before Seinfeld comes on. Love it.
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been my biggest surprise. - I would say believe in yourself, nothing is in possible. God leads the way, but we have the job of following up with the lead.
What favorite teacher would I love to see. I would love to see Mr. Murray, but he passed away, our Art Teacher, Mr. Y. and Mr. Keepers.
If I won $100 million - easy give to Mom, family, friends, charities and money aside for retirement.
To be truly happy, where would I be, doing what? Well I am truly happy and I'm doing what I want - which is teaching.
My first crush was Chris Pauly, in a grade higher than me, and I remember he invited me to his house and his Mom told him never to invite me over to his house again, because my parents were divorced. My crush ended quickly. I was heart broken.
The weirdest job I had. Was shortly before I graduated from Franklin High, I worked at Doramatic - inpecting those carpets that correspond with the automatic doors. Hilarious.
Trophies on my mantel, none at home, they are at work, President's Club, Employee of the Month and a Wow award. (long story)
You get to do one do over- what would do different - NOTHING- Everything good, bad and indifferent had to happen in my life, no regrets whatsoever.
What about me would surprise everyone at my highschool, probably that I had a crush on Don Woznicki and no one knew. He was with Debbie Mayer then.
So much for story wizard questions.
Peace Out!
