Mary's Story

I am a very proud Nanny of 10 month old Orion Nathaniel Voss. Of course he's gorgeous and has huge incredible blue/gray eyes. I'm madly in love with this baby. My only wish is that my deceased husband was here to see his first grandchild. My son Jason and his wife Nicole live in Holts Summit, Mo. He is a paramedic/firefighter and she is a RN. My second oldest son J.J. and his wife live in Las Vegas. They are working on having a family, but to no avail. They are seeking a fertility specialist to help in this process of conceiving. I tell them the time will come, just be patient and a few prayers to the good Lord would certainly help. Alyssa is V.P. at Wyndham and J is manager of CAST Transport. My youngest is 18 and a senior at Covina High School. He is an awesome guitarist, plays in the school band and is a varsity swimmer and a great kid. yes, I am very proud of these guys and love them dearly. I lived in Duluth Mn. with my older brother and sister. My daddy was a sheriff for St. Louis County and eventually became employed with the FBI. A great incredible dad and I miss him sooo much. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 73. My mom was my best friend. She recently passed last year on February 14, 2007, Valentine's Day in Cloquet Mn. at the age of 95. She had a terrible accident and her body could not take...Expand for more
the shock. I'm sure she would have lived to be 100. She was smart and still beautiful and knew every name of her 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Damn, I miss her and I cry for her return, yet knowing it will never happen. I loved high school, had a blast. Met my first love there. Brad Patullo. He was handsome! A great cook, (family Italian). Played footabll, was runner-up for King and we dated for a long time. I am in touch with him to this day..Awesome first love. I went to college for awhile and took a trip to California to visit my sister her husband and their three children. My brother-in law introduced me to his best friend Jim and it was instantaneous. My heart raced to the rythmn of "Stayin Alive" by the Bee Gees because I knew I had to continue my chemotherapy and stay alive to spend the rest of my life with him. Unfortunately, he died at work with a massive heart attack on 8-2-99. Magnificent daddy and husband....... Back to high school and the "good ol' days". My mom and dad would question me, " how is it possible to have a flat tire every week" they would ask. My answer would be, "I guess Michelin makes low grade tires". I now laugh at my stupidity. Can you imagine what their thoughts were? : ) In closing, after beating 3 cancers-------I LOVE LIFE
