Mary's Story
Hi Everyone!
"Classmates" emailed me so I thought I would see who might be reading these postings.
After I graduated, I attended the University of St. Thomas and I have been in school ever since! I taught for 26 years in public school (Houston ISD & Alvin ISD) and then became a parochial school principal (while there Debbie Upchurch-Dills (Madison Class of 1970) taught for me. In 1985 I received my Masters in Education also from UST, and currently I am working on my doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
My life is a movie, "Yours, Mine, and Ours." I have two older children who are 31 (Eric named after Eric Clapton, a doctoral student at Purdue) and 30 (Regin...Expand for more
a, a Kindergarten teacher). My true love of my youth, Steve Hitt (Sterling Class of 1968), and I met again in the early 1990s and we have been married for 13 years. He has three children (Tera 25, Annie 24, and Mithcell 21). Together we have Jeremy who is 12 and in 6th grade. Nothing like starting over to keep you young. In addition, we have Wednesday, our 7 year old granddaughter and Kameron, our 6 month old grandson.
Steve is still a musician playing all around town in several venues (clubs, restaurants, private parties, and weddings as well as giving guitar lessons. We never grew out of our love for music.
