Mary's Story
I'm the one in the yellow shirt, the other girl is my sister Linda Jo Via, who married Robert Royster. Linda graduated from Manchester 10 years after I did. My brother also graduated from Manchester somewhere in between. All of us are still kicking.
I've been single for 25 years. I have three children, and five grandchildren. I work and take care of myself. I like being single cause I can do what I want when I want and don't have to worry about pleasing someone else. I was married for a long time to some nut I met when I was in high school. rol freak...and I do mean freak...thank God I got away from him and started to learn how to live on my own..I became very active with my church and learned to love myself.My children are all grown now and each have children of their own. I still work and probaly will forever...My favorite subject in high school was ART..loved it..but didn't like my teacher. He was a man, I can't remember his name, but he was old, and played favorites. He did take his class to Gregory's Pond Mill off Rt. 360 to paint a picture of the old mill. It was an awsome place. It is my best memory of being at Manchester.
