Mary's Story
Mary was born and raised in Iowa until the age of 13 when her family then moved to Eugene, Oregon for an awesome upbringing in such a beautiful area! I attended Cal Young Jr. High enjoying being a cheerleader and then on the Sheldon Colleens Dance Team for my Junior and Senior years which was great fun! I graduated from Sheldon High School in 1974 just under the wire as my family then relocated to Portland area. Go Irish!
I have just recently relocated to Eugene and am looking for employment now. My last 13 years have been as a Residential Property Management Assistant in CA. I am experienced in Administrative functions and looking for a rewarding and enjoyable new career.
My last job was as Assistant Property Manager at Coast & Valley Rentals in Carmel, CA. I handled long-term leasing of single-family residential homes on the Monterey Peninsula. The office is located in The Barnyard Shopping Center in Carmel. We have a large selection of homes including many high-end Carmel and Pebble Beach properties. We have a large number of military tenants from around the world here due to the specialized training facility locations in Monterey of the Naval Post Graduate School (NPS), Defense Language Institute (DLI), and Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) located in Monterey. I just completed my 13th year in this business working previously for 10 years at Backus Properti...Expand for more
es in Salinas also as an Assistant Property Manager..
Mary's 25-year old son, Zack, is a Marine Sgt. based at the Marine Recruit Depot (MRDSD) in San Diego working with incoming recruits financial processing and is married to Chelsi, a former Marine. They have my first adorable grandchild, a son, Lane Thomas Zoller, 15-months old, and are living in San Diego. Grandchild #2 is expected in late February, 2016. My recently turned 22-year old son, Reece, is an Air Force Airman based at Eglin Air Force base in Florida and is in the first graduating class to work with the new F-35 program working in armaments for the new jet. It's hard having him so far away but the area he is in sounds nice and is close to wonderful beaches.
I always look forward to the fun of these reunions and have only missed the last one (35-year) from all that we have had every 5 years! It's a great group of people to have grown up with, and the reunion times are always so much fun. Last year's 40th reunion was as fun as all of the previous ones! Thanks to Vicki Maxon we are all able to look forward to going to these events, and to other news of classmates in the interim periods of time for updates. Yay Vicki!! It was fun 1975 graduating classmates and other alumni from various years in July!
One of Mary's favorite quotes is:"Life is a Journey, not a Destination"
"When life gives you lemons, make lemon bars!".
