Mary Martin:  

Life After graduating from Bass, I attended GA STATE for a year while working at EF Hutton. I married Jim Martin (Bass class of 1962) in July, 1967 after he graduated from GA TECH and was enrolled in the US Army. We lived near Ft. McPherson. Our lst daughter, Lisa, was born in 1969 and our 2nd daughter, Lindsey, was born in March, 1972. We moved to Gainesville, GA in 1974 as Jim accepted a promotion with GA POWER CO. We lived there 6 years then were transferred back in 1980. We moved back into the home we had built here and still reside in the same place. We used to say we lived in the country, although it has developed much in this area. However, we have managed to keep our acreage private and enjoy peace and quiet from the main road traffic and congestion. When our daughters were teenagers, I decided to return to college and get my degree. I went to Clayton State 4 years, majoring in Business. I also played the piano at our Church for the services on Sunday. I worked as the Church Secretary at Emory Presbyterian Church for 4 years also.
