Mary's Story

Life Hello, Mary here to udate my bio. In 1972 I became a Lic. Physch Tech. I worked with Mentally ill and Developmently disable in the state hospital system. In 1978 I became the first woman peace officer in southern Calif. I lasted a year When the men (who didn't want a women working with them)would not back me up I had to go. In 1980 I found the Job I was ment for.I work with Developmentally disabled young men with behavoral problems. I loved teaching them daily living skills. It might take a year to teach them to tie their shoes but when it happens it't the greatest feeli...Expand for more
ng. In 1987 I help put on the first aids walk in orange country. Made the first panals the second year. I have the best time out in nature. I go hiking as often as possible as camping. I take pretty good picture.I am retiried do to illness. While working for the state with developmentaly disable I contracted Hep C and it is chronicly active. This year I contracted Parkinsons disease. I swam with the dolphins for my 60th birthday. My mother died last Christmas morning so this year was hard for my sisters and I. I am a docent in a zoo. I'm a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
