Added note - December 2008: We recently arrived in our new diplomatic posting (and new home) of Auckland, New Zealand known as the "The City of Sails".
It's just BEAUTIFUL!! (See picture) We look forward to exploring this side of the world for a change!
My husband, Nick, and I have spent the last 17 years traveling the world as a US Diplomatic family. We have identical twin sons, Johnny and Teddy who just turned nine and they are the light of our lives!
We just left Athens, Greece after four years of loving it! I had the tremendous good fortune of being here for the 2004 Olympic Games and was a performer in the Opening Ceremonies and a flag bearer for the country of Guinea Bisau in the Closing Ceremonies.
We have lived in Eastern Europe (Romania), Greece, Toronto, Canada and several years in Washington, DC.

en blessed with the opportunity to sing in whatever country we have been posted in and have made life long and dear friends through my music.
I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry and have had some very interesting overseas contract assignments as well.
This lifestyle has been a wonderful opportunity to learn different languages and cultures.
Living overseas changes a person. It forces you to become even more than you thought you could be. It stretches you and makes you grow.
If you had asked me on graduation night in 1979 if I thought that I would ever live outside of the state of Illinois, I would have given you an emphatic "NO, NEVER"! Well, here I am 28 years later having lived in several countries and having visited several dozen more, and feeling tremendously grateful and blessed that this was my destiny.
