Mary's Story
I retired 4 yrs. ago after 27 years at WMH (now Pro HealthCare. I LOVE RETIREMENT!
I Like to read most of all. I also do beading and have boxes of jewelry that I don't know what to do with. I have also created some lovely greeting cards.
I love watching the Packers and the Brewers. I can multitask by watching the games and read at the same time. Very talented, aren't I? LOL
My husband (Jim) hounds me every day to exercise, which I absolutely HATE? But I do it because I keep hoping I can get my bum up where it used to be. (I can only dream). Some egghead MD from Stanford said that the closest thing to the fountain of youth is to exercise. Somthing like that, but I got the message. I keep trying to convince the grandchildren I am 49 but they are to smart for their own good.
Between Jim and I, we have 8 grandchildrenand one great grandchild. Christmas and Thanksgiving are quite spectacle as the house is full. Jim likes summer the best because they can all be outside. We have about 2 acres for them to enjoy, or as my mom used to say, "to blow the stink off".
My first grandchild is 22 and goes to UW. Unlike gram, he, has traveled. Has been to France, Kenya...Expand for more
for one Semester, and than went to visit a friend in S. Korea. While in Kenya, he learned to speak Swahili. That language is in demand somewhere, but I don't know where.
The extent of my traveling is going to N. Caroling to visit one of my sisters with 3 other sisters. The four sisters that are still here in snowy old Wi. are not too happy that she abandoned us to warmer weather.
Christopher is 19 and lives with his dad. (please don't ask, because I would not have an answer). I know he buries his head in his computer most of the time. An introvert he is.
Grandson Levin is 14, like the size of his shoes. He is quite large,not fat large, just a big boy. He plays football in the fall, than on to hockey than to baseball, and in the meantime, rides horses. I don't know a 14 yr old can keep track of all those schedules.
Granddaughter Juliana is beautifull at 10 yo. Don't get to see her much as she lives in NC.
I will not go into Jim's kids side cause it would take forever.
I could go on forever, please stop me. Oh, right, I have to do that.
One thing I'm not happy about is not having a 40 yr reunion. How sad I was, but I got over it. I do hope we have a 50 :)
