Mary's Story

hey guys, after 35 yrs of stay at home mom, with some temp jobs, i'm retired to fort myers, fl. we're having a ball. we purchased our retirement home, and a new motorhome as our second home. i have 4 grown children all over the u.s. i have 2 great grandsons, ryan 4, and sean 7 months. so we're living the good life, doing whatever we want, when we want. i hope they remember me as sometimes funny and crazy. I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were so right. i love my music. my cd's and my shuffle. walking the beach always helps me too If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good people around me, pleasant atmosphere, and some humor to be able to deal with the day-to-day. my hero's are all my kids. there all so different, but are so good and thoughtful kids my best t.v. shows are the amazing race, survivor, and any news show, e.i. dateline, 60 minutes. i learned a lot from t...Expand for more
hem, and i'm still learning. they teach me live and let live. there is good in everyone. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to the kids, then spend the rest on whatever i wanted, trips and jewlery. on a beach in aruba, w/ all the kids and grandchildren. My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old fashion. I was so completely wrong. i married him. my first boyfriend, 40 yrs later. things are as good as ever!!! My best friend would tell you I'm a hard worker, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as spoiled. In 10 years, I hope to be right where i am now. I'm going to get there by enjoying what i have right now. My first job was at a nursing home, where I got paid 3.50 to do supper serving, and do the clean up as well. What I remember most about it is it was pretty depressing. when my last sistr was born, (the 9th one) and we all sat on the couch, waiting our turn to hold the newest baby.
