Marybeth's Story
Life
I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest on Whidbey Island located off the coast of Washington State. We have a 5 acre organic farm with chickens, dairy goats, sheep and a dairy cow. I spend my time making yogurt, cheese, canning, baking bread, spinning wool, weaving, knitting, sewing, etc. I have a wonderful husband and three fantastic children. My son Rowan is four, Chloe is 8 and my oldest daughter Kathrine who passed away four years ago. All of my children attend the Whidbey Island Waldorf School which is located on 100 wooded acres on the south end of the island. My husband Paul and I share a passion for simple living, midwifery/homebirths, organic farming/homes...Expand for more
teading and a love of Waldorf Education, where we spend a huge amount of our volunteer time. I have a dream of living without electricity but sorry to say I have yet to convince my husband! I would love to hear from anyone interested in Waldorf Education or that shares a similar lifestyle. Of course I would love to hear from any old friends as well. By the way, we also have no television. I highly recommend it! I will try to post more pictures of my family when I figure out how to do it. Some folks have asked me for info on Waldorf Education. Try googling AWSNA(association of waldorf schools of north america) It seems you cannot leave web address's on the classmates site.
