Matilda's Story
After graduating from high school, I met my husband Vernel in 1983. We decided to move to Seattle, so we lived there for 11 years. I wanted to move back to Hawaii so that my kids get to know my side of the family. We lived in Hawaii 10 years, then both of my kids wanted to attend college in Washington so we moved back to Seattle. ht at Waianae High School. He was off when ever the kids was off, so I decided to apply for Seattle Public schools. Now I work at an elementary school in West Seattle. I have 2 children ages 30 and 28, I have a step son who's 35 and 6 grandchildren. My childrens names are Samantha Nicholas Kealoha, Vernel (Ikaika) Nicholas and Anthony Roberts. My grandchildrens names are Malique, Kaelei, Nathan, Raelynn, Essence and Jaeda. I love living here in Seattle, it's my home away from home.
