Matt's Story

Life After High School I went to Ricks College for a year. I then lived abroad in Peru for 2 years as a Mormon missionary. When I returned to the States I finished my associates in Broadcasting. My folks moved from Glendale, AZ to Boise, ID and I changed my residency as well. Some of you may recall that I was always involved with media production. I worked in television part time while in undergrad and was a news producer for a local station in Pocatello, Idaho and a technical director for local video shoots on campus while getting a Bachelor's degree in Finance in Dec 2003. While at BYU-Idaho I picked up ballroom dance and toured with the dance company on several occasions. I even got a scholarship ...Expand for more
my last year for it. I competed in a few competitions but more than anything just had fun with it. After I received my bachelors degree I worked for the Media Organization, BYU Broadcasting in Provo, UT. I set up a organization wide project management system while waiting for law school that fall. In the fall of 2004 I started law school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 2007. While in law school I was commissioned an Officer in the Marine Corps. I graduated in 2007 and passed the Idaho bar exam in 2007. I hope to be a trial attorney and work in either criminal or civil litigation. I am currently waiting for activation orders for the Marine Corps as a Marine Judge Advocate.
