Matt Kocyba:  

My story is... I left CS on a Track & Field Scholarship to Charleston Southern Univ. in SC becoming the Big South Conf. Champion as a freshmen in the 3000m Steeplechase. After one year I transfered to Keene State College in New Hampshire to run X-C and T&F along with majoring in Architecture. Went on to set KSC records in the steeplechase and other college track & course records too. Ranked 2nd in the country my senior year in the steepchase and 13 seconds off the Olympic Trial Qualifying time. Ended my career as an All-American in X-C and T&F, plus KSC Athlete of the Year Award. My senior year at college my girlfriend asked me to marry her and had a baby girl 'Taylor' in 1997. Was hired at an architecture firm two weeks before college graduation in Ridgefield, CT. My fiancee broke off engagement. Worked at DCA Architects for 4 yrs in CT while traveling to NH every other week to see my daughter before moving back to Keene, NH to be close to my daughter. Became the in-house-architect for a Post & Beam, Log and Ultra R (SIPS) Panel Home national company.
