JUNE 1974 after graduation I left for Europe for two and half months. Landed in Belgium with a pack back and train pass. Visited 11 countries I was 17 Back in states by September and started working for CDF as a firefighter. Being I was 17 my parents had to sign a release paper allowing me to work as a firefighter. That started a 35 year career in fire service working 30 years for CDF and 5 years in USAF. Retired as a Captain in 2010. Moved out of state to Missouri for about a year then moved to Washington's north Olympic Peninsula west of Joyce and Port Angeles. I'm on 17 acres that fronts on the lyre river. I can't begin to describe life up here. On the property I have elk, deer, bear, cougar, bobcat, river otter, mink, weasel, salmon, steelhead, ducks, geese, quail, grouse, on and on. I still love to fly and I'm looking for a bush plane, a Kitfox, Avid Flyer, Cub, Champ, etc. I'm thinking about doing a one year trip and fly around the world.
