Matthew's Story
Life
Well after school was out i worked for a while selling auto parts. In Jan of '97 i went to Parris Island for boot camp for the Marines. Then i was sent to MCAS New River in NC where I'm at now. In May of 1999 I went to Scottland, Spain, and Greece for an Nato Excercise. I work on the CH-53E helicopter. I fix all the radios and navigation equipment. This last summer (2001) i spent six months over in the Med. i went to France, Spain, Greece, Malta, Italy, Kosovo,Albainia and a few other ...Expand for more
small countries. I was attached to the 24th MEU. i was sitting in Kosovo on Sept 11th. Talk about a long day, we didnt know where we would go next. All we were told was to pack and be ready to leave on short notice. I got back stateside on Oct 13th. I just back from california for some desert training. Heading back oversea's later this year.
